Overview:
Kinnaur, one of the prettiest valleys in Himachal Pradesh if not in India, is a heady mix of rocky mountains, snow-covered peaks, and lush valleys full of fruit orchards and alpine forests. Before you get tired of the stunning mountain views, if that is even possible, you can divert your attention to the old Himachali tradition and culture that you will find in the form of interesting architecture, ancient temples and delicious local cuisines.
The route between Chandigarh to Shimla is open. After the recent snowfall in and around Shimla, some of the roads were temporarily blocked but then were soon reopened.
The condition of the road is a mix of good and average. There is road widening work happening on this route due to which, the traffic these days is slower than usual. But other than that, the condition of the road is mostly smooth.
